In the present day, the use of radio, television, satellite and social networks as fast and accessible communication media, has become a social necessity and an integral part of the life. On the other hand, in the world today, the media have become tools for the dissemination of ideas and ideologies around the world, and this media influence has had significant implications for many aspects of human life, including their attitude. This article attempts to investigate the relationship between the use of mass media and attitudes toward the society among the university students in Qom. A sample of 638 people was selected and the questionnaire was distributed and collected randomly. Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression were used to analyze the data. Findings show that there is a positive and significant relationship between the amount of utilization of mass media and the attitude toward society among students (r = 0.381). Also, there is a positive and significant relationship between the mass media usage and the attitude towards society with control variables of gender, marital status, and employment status. Also, there is a relationship between this variable and the dimensions of the attitude such as emotional, cognitive and behavioral.
