ased on the Easterlin Paradox, subjective wellbeing of the people of a country does not depend on their income. Several theories have been proposed to solve this paradox, one of which is due to the role of non-material goods in generating prosperity. This study by using the theories of the philosophy of wellbeing, propses pay attention to the role of the family, as a sacred institution, in creation a wide range of non-material goods. From an economic viewpoint, the family not only is the consumer of goods and services and supplier of the factors of production, but also is the producer of a diverse range of non-material goods, such as emotional support, which either enhance the welfare by itself or is a babsis for it. From an Islamic perpective, the main approaches in the philosophy of wellbeing includes hedonism, desire fulfillment, perfectionism and objectie list theory, have their strengths and weaknesses and Islam by accepting a certain type of perfectionism as a hybrid theory, modifies each of these theories to serve the perfection of the human. This paper proves that the Islamic ideal family enjoyes the pleasures, satisfies its vorious desires and provides a variety of factors necessary for its wellbeing as such that: first, their utility as the the ultimate goal of the consumption of material and ono-material goods will be satisfied in the best way and secondly provides the best way to serve them in their perfection.
