The present thesis is trying to study the relationship between using mass media and attitude toward society among Qom students. As a result, a survey method, Cronbach's alpha (0.834) for questionnaire validity as well as factor analysis were applied. According to Cochran formula with a probability error of 0.03, a sample of 638 subjects were selected. The questionnaires were distributed and collected randomly among the students. The data was analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient, Path analysis and multiple regression. Findings indicate a positive and significant relationship between using mass media and attitude toward society (r= 0.381). Also there is a positive and significant relationship between using mass media and attitude toward society in terms of control variables such as gender, marital status, and occupation. The correlation coefficient was as follows: men (r= 0.379), women (r=0.377), singles (r= 0.413), married (r= 0.351), students only (r=0.339), state employed students (r= 0.237) and self-employed students (r=0.237). The study also indicates that the relationship between using mass media and attitude aspects was emotional (r=0.331), cognitive (r=0.313) and behavioral (r= 0.304) respectively. Therefore, members of the media must pay more attention to cognitive and behavioral aspects in their production.
