Dialogue as a undeniable necessity for providing agreement and intellectual development in human life, has been studied by different philosophical schools and different theories. Also, dialogue in the Islamic tradition has been considered as a main strategy in the resolving disputes and expanding empathy and sympathy. To understand more about Islamic tradition ideas in dialogue, this research seek to analyze quality and functions of dialogue in the Prophet of Islam life style regarding to the Communicative action theory of Hubermas by studing nabavi sirah in individual and group dialogue. Studing the Prophet Muhammad dialogues, brought us to this conclusion that his dialogues had features such as "equality in dialogue", "giving expression freedom", "patience", "listening carefully" and had functions such as "propaganda", "keeping convergence" and "removing doubts". Analyzing this results regarding to the Communicative action theory, shows some similarity and closeness in these two approaches with fundumental differences in the epistemological basises.
