An Examination of Imam Khomeini's Social Thoughts

Abstract

Without a doubt, Imam Khomeini is a living fact. The dynamism, persistence, and boundlessness of this fact is undoubtedly rooted in its Islamic identity. The purpose of this paper is to answer the question that, "Based on Imam Khomeini's thoughts, how has his social ideas affected Islamic governance, social arenas and society management?" Therefore, through using the library method and based on his words, we will extract the values, symbols and social symbols in structures, the most important of which is the structure of the institution of government, then we will obtain the final result. According to the findings of the study, the Islamic Revolution led by Imam Khomeini brought the religion (Islam) into society and government and revived the religious and human values. The distinctive feature of Imam Khomeini's thoughts is its religious identity. The Islamic Revolution came about with the beliefs that Imam Khomeini brought from the context of Islamic sources to the society and practiced them. In fact, by presenting the social school of Islam, the great contemporary revivalist has been able to undo all the cultural and political efforts of the enemies of Islam over the past century and a half that have tried to throw Islam out of the arena of social life
