Abstract

In the current state of Iranian society, numerous challenges can be observed in the field of religious propagation and its interaction with various social domains. Addressing these issues is of great importance. The present study aims to identify the main problems and challenges facing religious propagation within Islamic seminaries. The research adopts a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods. Data was collected through a finalized questionnaire completed by 73 experts in the field of religious propagation affiliated with the Islamic Seminary of Mashhad. The findings are categorized into six main areas of religious propagation and analyzed based on different expert groups. After compiling the results, the lack of specialization in propagation and the neglect of promoting rationality and religious reason were identified as the most critical current issues in this field. Based on the research findings, several practical recommendations are presented, particularly emphasizing the need to expand and diversify similar studies and to conduct longitudinal research on this topic over specific time intervals.
