The expansion of Modern institutions and their active role in the human life has caused penetration of modernism consequences into diverse aspects of modern human life. One of the modern institutions is university and one of the personal dimensions, which has been subject to change, is pious attitude. The aim of this paper is understanding how religious identity of youths is affected by university climate. In this research, the theory of Peter Berger and the method of discursive psychology, complemented by the client-centered method, have been used and deep interviews were made with 13 students and five non-students. After analyzing the transcription of interviews and three levels descriptive, interpretive and explanative coding of data, the results show that despite influence of the university on expansion of students' world lives and strengthening of their questioning spirit, the quality of making use of this potential and reading of data depends on pre-university backgrounds and internal desires of the students.

The purpose of instituting a religious state in Islam is laying down the appropriate edifying conditions and situations for humans reaching the perfection. The reform of every society begins with its cultural reform. The most essential duty of culture is cultivating the human and mass media generally as the most important channels of culture-building and guidance of culture of the society, play a vital role. One of the cultural devices, which is under control of the state and has an important effect on engineering of the mind and managing of public opinion and is a stage setter for edification of people, is the media in general and cinema in particular. Hence, one of state's obligations is utilizing the cinema device for guiding people to the desired direction. The aim of this research is to examine to what extent the Islamic Republic of Iran, as a devout state, has been able to make use of the cinema device for laying down edifying conditions and directing public opinion. The research findings illustrate that the Islamic Republic of Iran hasn't been so successful in using this device in realizing religious edification of the people. Presence of devout values in cinema is scarce. In fact, even movies, which their main themes are dedicated to religion, in choosing subject matter and also in dealing with it, have worked so simply.

Mourning, due to its personal and social constructive role, has a special status in the Islam school and the biography of the Prophet’s Household. However, this fertile ritual, like any fruitful practice, doesn't have its desired results if it doesn't been policy made and implemented. Mourning means accompaniment and sympathy in the sadness and sorrow of the others which Shiites put a special interpretation on it and largely apply it to the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him). This paper, with an archival method and based on historical and existing resources, in addition to chronicled investigation to this religious phenomenon, seeks to scrutinize the cultural and social damages against it and present some solutions. Some major issues of this phenomenon, which needs to be explored and explained, are as follows: reviewing the Islam's biography, the mourning types, the quality of states' encounter with it, as well as examining its form- and content-related damages like emotional approach to mourning, its conversion to a habit, its mixture with ethnic culture, primacy of the form over the substance, overstatement in poems and using musical instruments.

Models of crime control can lead to effective prevention of crime when they are in accord with social context and structure of the target society. In fact, native capacities in the society remain idle, reduces the efficiency of the criminal policies. In this paper, using the analytic method and by referring to library resources, we seek to introduce an indigenous model named the "ethics-centered model of inner crime control." This model is more functional and fundamental and by changing people's attitudes and beliefs, produces internal resistance against the crime. The model both emerges from an intra-religious rationale and is supported by an extra-religious rationale. Views like fighting to lust of the soul as well as the necessity of judge righteousness, from one hand, and views like "social control" and "societal requirements," on the other hand, are justifiers of this model. Based on this model, these polices can be advised: moralizing educable ages, creating communal institutions for instilling morals, enriching procedure and

Giddens unlike classical sociologists and with attention to the emergence of contemporary religious movements, especially the Islamic fundamentalism, has rejected secularization of the religion in the modern world and with a reflexive interpretation, has found religion functions compatible with the modern society requirements. He posits that religion can coexist with modernity, provided that it accepts dialogue and reflexivity. Although this theory has been regarded as the closest reading to the Islamic view in holding religion responsive to the questions of modern human, but it suffers from substantial defects regarding its fundamentals, method and general direction. The following deficiencies have reduced the scientific stature of his theory: neglecting to the revealed origins of religion, reducing the truth of religion to merely material phenomena, conflicts between science and religion, ignoring the epistemological dimension of religion and being caught in the trap of improper substitutions, phenomenalizing and denial of religion rightfulness, confusing identity of different religions, paying attention to the functions rather than essence of religion, incomplete induction in religious studies (church centered) and generalizing its results to the other religions like Islam. Provided that Islamic fundamentals are replaced in this theory, undoubtedly the approaches will not be the same as what Giddens presented, and the rejection of secularization will be evaluated against the nature of religion and comprehensiveness of its teachings and not against the amount of presence and membership in the rituals and religious centers.

This paper seeks to respond to the question of how secularism affects the social realm of the human. Acknowledging the influence of secularism as a thesis on different aspects and realms of the human life, it, by a descriptive-analytic method, concentrates on the quality and amount of secularism influence on the social realm. The social realm embraces a wide variety of elements and contexts, including: social structure and institutions, ethics and social values, social rules and regulations, social behaviors and relations, social planning and administration, social movements and groups and new religions. The kind of secularism's effect on each of them is different. With respect to the main purpose of this thesis, which is neutralizing and, at the end, removing religion from the social realm of the human, it appears that with the lack of religious teaching, this domain will be in trouble in the dominance of secular thought and gradually the contexts of religion's influence and currency in life of the human will be ruined.
